SAMUEL DIUGUID

Pronounced: Do-Good

Growing up in northeast Oklahoma, I wasn’t the kid with a camera. I was the kid riding four-wheelers, getting sunburnt at the lake, and staying up too late playing video games. I enjoyed drawing, making up zombie stories, and came up with video game plots, but I never really thought of any of it as creative. Not back then. It took a while to realize that’s where it started.

Eventually, that curiosity turned into something more. After serving as a firefighter in the U.S. Air Force, stationed everywhere from Western Germany to the deserts of Djibouti, I found my way into filmmaking and photography. These days, I’m based in Los Angeles, producing films and capturing stills that feel grounded, cinematic, and human.

Whether I’m documenting a cleanup project, shooting a short film, or chasing golden hour through city streets, I’m drawn to real moments and raw visuals. My work spans photojournalism, automotive photography, and narrative storytelling... but deep down, I think I’ve always been trying to do the same thing: tell the truth, even if it’s through fiction.
